CURRENT VACANT POSITIONS
AUTOMOTIVE SPARE PART SALES – TRAINEE
The Nixons Wagga Spares Department currently have a position available for an enthusiastic self starter to join the team. As a trainee you will gain valuable on the job experience as you complete the nationally recognised Certificate III in Automotive (Sales – Parts Interpreting).
In terms of your day-to-day role you’ll quickly form an integral part of the team in assisting to pack and despatch parts to our customers right across the country. Doing this you’ll start to learn about the various parts we stock and how they’re used by our customers to get their machinery back up and running.
As your knowledge develops your role will morph to being a point of contact for customers to liaise with at our sales counter and over the phone. A position in automotive spare parts is an awesome career where daily you are giving people a hand troubleshoot their mechanical problems and to get their truck, trailer or ag equipment back into service as quickly as possible.
To be successful in this position you’ll need effective communication skills and good mathematical aptitude. If you’ve had some experience repairing or servicing cars or trucks in the past that’s going to be a distinct advantage.

ENGINEERING – 2021 APPRENTICESHIPS
The Nixons Wagga workshop has a number of apprenticeships available for people looking to start their careers in 2021. As an apprentice you’ll be completing nationally recognised training through Wagga’s TAFE campus while getting valuable experience learning the ropes in manufacturing a range of truck bodies and trailers.
So if a career as a body builder sounds appealing then put in an application! To be successful in the position you’ll be someone who turns up on time and takes pride in their work. Our vision for you is at the end of your apprenticeship you’ll be a top rate tradesman.
